EMPOWERING RESILIENCE, ONE CELL AT A TIME

Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is the latest medical treatment for cancer. These drugs work by stimulating our immune system (T cells) to recognise and eliminate cancer. As compared to chemotherapy, immunotherapy has lesser side effects. Less frequently, patients can develop autoimmune side effects due to immunotherapy. Unfortunately, most patients cannot afford immunotherapy due to the prohibitive cost.

Transforming Cancer Treatment with Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is a cancer treatment that utilises the body’s immune system to fight cancer cells. It functions by stimulating the body’s natural defences, permitting it to recognize and attack cancer cells more constructively. This treatment procedure can be used independently or in combination with other cancer therapies, such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

Reality Check

Were you aware that immunotherapy is useful in treating many types of cancer, including melanoma, lung cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer.

Side Effects

It’s important to cite that immunotherapy can have lesser side effects in comparison to traditional cancer treatments. Yet, these side effects are typically temporary and can be taken care of with medication and other treatments. Your healthcare provider or cancer expert will provide you with more details about the likely side effects of your treatment and how they can be handled.
